I actually divide the population into those who assume and those who think. Ayn Rand brilliantly summed it up, “The uncontested absurdities of today are the accepted slogans of tomorrow. They come to be accepted by degrees, by dint of constant pressure on one side and constant retreat on the other – until one day when they are suddenly declared to be the country’s official ideology.”

There are yet no alternatives for fossil fuels. It is impossible to find a viable substitute for hydrocarbon fuels either as an energy source or for the chemical building blocks that make a modern society possible. To stop using fossil fuel is to lose our society. So why do so many of our society’s leaders call for an end to the use of fossil fuel?
First, revenue neutral means the government will redistribute the tax collected, supposedly lowering other taxes. This does not mean you get your money back because there are innumerable other pockets that will be filled first….
Notably, the carbon tax is praised far and wide by what has become the two most influential groups in our society, the political bureaucracy and the environmental lobbyists. Both groups are unstintingly devoted to programming the world for the rest of us.
“Sure we have a carbon footprint. We just need to be proud and grateful that it happens to be a size 18 boot-print rather than being ashamed of it.”
But I want to talk about the biggest delusion of our day – the delusional idea that going green will benefit our lives. …..
It’s your life…..don’t let them steal it.
Most people are probably tired of reading or hearing anything more on my personal crusade, the global warming subject, but I ask, …..consider in what way is it important to you.
……. Only human beings can be programed to destroy the very thing that makes life possible – access to a low cost, abundant energy supply.
….. If we do become poor, we should know that it’s because we’ve allowed misinformation to chain us – to stop our productive actions with a fraudulent belief…….
So if you are still determined to turn out your lights, I ask that you not be a hypocrite. Do it for a month or more and then…..
…. They have morally elevated a perceived benevolent natural world over mankind’s developed world.The fight is not going to be won by an economic argument, for it is the moral right to support our lives in the only way possible, that is being vilified as being evil.
